Built Like a Waterproof Fortress
A beautiful bathroom is only as good as the engineering behind the walls. Water is the most destructive element in a residential home. We publish our exact material specifications because we want you to see the standard that goes into the spaces you cannot see.
We eliminate the risk of mould, rot, and structural movement before a single tile is set.
Wet Zone Wall System — Schluter-KERDI-BOARD
In all wet zones and custom showers we completely eliminate traditional drywall or cement board. We install Schluter-KERDI-BOARD — stable, waterproof, and vapour-impermeable. Water physically cannot penetrate your wall cavities.
Dry Zone Wall System — Moisture-Resistant Green Board
For non-wet areas we use premium moisture-resistant drywall to protect walls from high humidity and ambient steam.
Floor Uncoupling Membrane — Schluter-DITRA
Every tile floor we lay sits on a DITRA uncoupling membrane. This chemically decouples the tile from your subfloor so your home can shift and settle naturally — without ever cracking your tiles or popping your grout lines.
Chemical Bond — Schluter-ALL-SET
We use specialised engineered thin-set mortar designed to form an inseparable chemical bond with our Schluter waterproofing systems.
We prove our work is watertight before we lay a single tile.
The Lockdown
Once the pre-pitched shower basin and waterproofing liner are fully installed, we mechanically cap the drain line.
The Flood
We fill the shower basin to the absolute brim with water.
The 24-Hour Hold
We let the water sit for a full 24 hours. If the waterline moves even a fraction of a millimetre, work stops until we find the cause. A leaking shower base can cause thousands of dollars in hidden structural rot. We do not risk your home on guesswork.
We specify materials that perform as beautifully in year ten as they do on day one.
Mapei Ultracolor Plus FA Grout
We refuse to use cheap porous grouts that stain, crack, and harbour mould. We specify Mapei Ultracolor Plus FA — a rapid-setting, colour-consistent, polymer-modified grout with DropEffect technology to repel water and dirty liquids.
Tier-One Fixtures & Valves
We install only name-brand faucets and shower valves — Moen, Delta, Kohler, and Riobel. This ensures finish longevity, precise pressure balancing, and guarantees replacement cartridges are available decades down the road.
Custom Frameless Glass Enclosures
Where your layout calls for it, we design and install custom frameless glass enclosures using heavy 3/8" to 1/2" tempered safety glass with premium architectural hardware.
