Most contractors treat your home like a job site. We treat it like someone lives there — because someone does. Before demo starts, our full site protection protocol goes in. It stays until the last day.

Floor Armour

Before a single tool comes in, your floors are protected.

  • Guardia Pro on all hardwood, tile, and stone surfaces
  • HEPA vacuumed before protection goes down
  • Self-adhesive, breathable, and waterproof
  • Floors continue to cure underneath

Sealed Dust Containment

Your living space stays clean while we work.

  • Floor-to-ceiling polyethylene barriers at all transitions
  • Heavy-duty zipper doors for crew access
  • Tuck tape sealed at every seam
  • Smoke detector dust covers on every sensor

HVAC Protection

Your ductwork stays clean from day one.

  • MERV 5 filter pads on every supply and return vent
  • Installed before demo starts
  • Keeps silica, gypsum, and drywall dust out of your ductwork

Utility Safing-Off

Every line secured before demo begins.

  • Water lines capped with SharkBite Max brass fittings
  • Electrical circuits locked out using LOTO procedures
  • Every line tagged and labelled
  • Water restored to the rest of the home same day

Daily Reset

We take the last 30 minutes of every day to do the following:

  • All garbage removed to the bin
  • Tools, cords, and materials packed up and organised
  • Work zone HEPA vacuumed
  • Floor protection and barriers inspected and re-taped
  • Washroom cleaned twice a week

Negative Pressure Zone

On heavy demo and drywall days we run active air management.

  • HEPA air scrubber running continuously
  • Negative pressure maintained — air pulled out faster than it comes in
  • Dust physically cannot travel to the rest of your home
  • The same standard used in commercial construction and remediation

This is not an add-on. It is standard on every Cornerstone project regardless of scope or budget.
