My construction story started in grade five, spending summers with George Mutton at Mutton Masonry — wheeling cement, lifting cinder blocks, forming footings, and pouring concrete. Five years of that work taught me what hard work and pride in craftsmanship actually mean.

At 17, Slip Rowe welcomed me into his woodworking shop and sparked a lifelong passion for the craft. In my late 20s I spent four years on marine interiors — including a bespoke fit-out for Ned Baldwin, the architect of the CN Tower, managing the build across international borders. Working without level surfaces or square angles sharpened my eye and my standards to a level most contractors never reach.

For 16 years I worked in commercial construction — first as Senior Project Manager then National Director of Construction at Weekes General Contracting, delivering turnkey fit-ups for Chipotle, Popeyes, A&W, and Cinnabon, and managing relationships with Cadillac Fairview, Ivanhoe Cambridge, and Oxford Properties. In 2017 I founded Cornerstone Construction to bring that same commercial discipline directly to homeowners. We treat your home like a commercial contract.
