THE CORNERSTONE PROMISE

Our Warranty. In Writing.

We stand behind every project. Here is exactly what we cover, how long it lasts, and what to do if something needs attention.

Cornerstone Construction 5-Year Workmanship Warranty

WHAT'S COVERED

What the 5-Year Warranty Covers

Every Cornerstone project comes with a 5-year workmanship warranty. If something we built fails because of how it was installed, we fix it. No runaround. No charge. The warranty period starts on the date we hand the project back to you and runs for five full years, covering any work completed by Cornerstone or our subcontractors.

  • Structural Integrity: Drywall, framing, and structural work are fully covered to ensure your home's foundation and walls remain sound.

  • Surface Installations: Tile and flooring installation, along with cabinetry and millwork, are protected against installation-related failures.

  • Licensed Trades: Electrical and plumbing work completed by our licensed trades, plus all painting and finishing, are included in our coverage.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear over time or failure to maintain indoor humidity between 35% and 50% year-round. Proper environmental control is essential for the longevity of your home's finishes.

Exclusions include but are not limited to:

  • Steam mops used on wood or LVP flooring.
  • Standing water left against cabinetry, floors, or countertops.
  • Client modifications after project completion.
  • Water damage from external sources unrelated to our scope.
  • Acts of nature or events outside our control.
  • Materials supplied by the client.
  • Cosmetic defects not identified during the final walkthrough sign-off.
  • Repairs or alterations made by a third party without notifying Cornerstone first.
Important Note

If you are unsure whether your issue is covered, contact us first. We will always take a look before making any determination to ensure your home remains in peak condition.

Maintenance Guidelines for Longevity

Warranty Process

How to Make a Warranty Claim

All claims must be submitted in writing. Follow our simple three-step process to ensure your claim is handled quickly and efficiently.

01

Email Your Claim

Email your claim to us with the subject line: Warranty Claim — [Your Project ID# and Address]. Include your project address, the name on your original contract, and a brief description of the issue.

02

Include Photos

Attach two photos: one wide shot showing where the issue is in the room, and one close-up of the specific defect. This lets us prepare the right tools and materials before we arrive.

03

We Schedule a Site Visit

We review claims Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. You can expect a response within 1 to 2 business days. If the issue falls within our warranty, we repair it at no cost. We confirm the scope before any work begins.

Manufacturer Warranties

Many materials we install — including custom cabinets, premium flooring, designer fixtures, and high-end appliances — come with their own dedicated manufacturer warranties. These protections are separate from and in addition to our comprehensive workmanship warranty, ensuring your investment is covered from every angle.

  • Cabinetry finish and hardware guarantees
  • Flooring material structural warranties
  • Appliance mechanical and electronic coverage

We maintain meticulous records of every product and serial number installed during your project. If you ever need documentation to support a manufacturer claim, our team will promptly provide the necessary records and assist you in navigating the process.

Product Documentation & Support

Our commitment to quality extends beyond the construction phase. By sourcing materials from reputable manufacturers, we ensure that your home is built with components that are backed by industry-leading protection plans, giving you long-term peace of mind for your renovation.
